Who We Are
My One Friend Tom is a 2000's pop-punk / emo cover band based out of Rhode Island.
The band consists of 4 members who have been playing music for the past 15+ years throughout the Northeast, playing primarily in Boston, New York, and Rhode Island.
What We Can Provide
The band is currently capable of playing a 2 hour set: two 1 hours blocks comprised of 45 minutes of music and 15 minute breaks. We are also capable of shorter sets if necessary.
The band can provide all of its own equipment, up to and including amplification for a small single room venue. The band has its own sound person, and for larger venues we can easily tie in to the provided house system via a stereo XLR feed.
The band practices a silent stage policy, and thus can scale overall volume depending on the venue. Essentially there is one volume knob for the entire band: you never have to worry about the band being too loud for your venue's patrons.
Requirements
The band only requires a power source: 1 single outlet or 1 extension cord capable of powering the band's equipment.
We are capable and have experience playing venues of any size ranging from coffee shops and house parties / BBQ's, to larger bars and outdoor venues.
As previously mentioned, if the venue is large the venue will also need to provide access to the house sound system, or else volume may be limited.
Music Samples
We have recorded a cover of Blink-182's "All The Small Things", which can be listened to on all major music platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc.)
We also have a sample recording from one of our practices. This is a direct recording "straight off of the mixing board", which means there have been no alterations made to the music: no autotune was used, no mistakes were replaced, etc. What you hear in this sample is exactly what you will hear when you see us live.
Target Audience
The band's target audience is primarily millennials: people who are currently 26 to 41 years old. The songs the band plays were popular on the radio from the early 90's to the mid 2000's.
